Weekly Work Hours: Full time commitment (40+ hours)

Experience Desired: Any number of years with a minimum of 1 year experience in advanced professional video editing, and optionally also advanced video graphics, other visual graphics, videography and related fields.

Job Description: Working as a video editor with The 1947 Partition Archive will be your opportunity to channel your creative talents for screen based story telling towards affecting positive change in the world, through a humanitarian cause.  The job entails creating short micro films from video interviews that can be several hours in length.  You will be creating impactful and meaningful storylines that summarize key points from full story in just a minute or two.  Other projects may include creating videos about Archive programs, and so on.  

Job Skill Requirements:

• Excellent storyboarding ability, especially with short form video
• Experience with Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premier
• Experiences with Special effect techniques
• Experience with video graphics production, sources, use
• Experience discovering resource materials and stock footage
• A knack for creativity and exploring experimental techniques
• Experience working with a vast array of video and graphic file times and conversions
• Self paced, self motivated, self learner
• Resourceful and able to discover new techniques through self training
